The joy of spotting the Statue of Liberty

While on a tour of the US we had the option to take a ride on the River Hudson in New York to get to the Liberty Island to spend time with the Statue of Libery. All what we could see was only water to start with but as the boat sailed further and further the statue came to view first as a dot and then in full view Those on the boat cried in unison when they could see the Statue me included..
We got off the boat and spent a couple of hours

All what you see is the sea and then suddenly as the boat moves along it start with a tiny dot....................

It is a lovely experience going to Liberty island. Imagine arriving in New York many years ago & seeing it for the very first time.

@garymarsh6 I have called it a day when it comes to travel but must admit I have been fortunate to have experienced quite a bit of that in my life
