"Well, praise the Lord and pass the ammunition!"

That's what my pastor used to say when something went right, and that's definitely what went through my head this morning. During my move, I lost my food stamp/CalFresh/EBT card. I got a new one, and they were supposed to send me a new PIN (Personal Identification Number) to use it with, but it never came and it never came.... I called at least three times to see where on earth my PIN was. Once I was told to go to the website and make a new PIN # myself, but when I tried to use it at the store it didn't work. Yesterday I called, and after a long explanation, the worker I was speaking to had me change my PIN over the phone. She said it would be usable "immediately", but that's what one of the last people I spoke to said, so it was a "I'll believe it when I see it." kind of thing. Today, after coming home from walking Angel, I got my card and ventured over to the store. I grabbed a couple of boxes of cereal and some Oat Milk, then brought it to the self-check out. I pushed all the buttons and followed all the prompts--and to my pleasant surprise, it worked! I cannot tell you what a relief that was. "Praise the Lord and pass the ammunition!"
