Black pepper

We have pepper vines that cling on most trees here specially areca. They just need a rough surface to cling to.
The pepper ripens around December and we come to know of it as birds flock around these vines. The process then starts - plucking, separating from stems, drying in the sun and then ofcourse selling it after keeping what we need.
Does pepper grow where you live?

No black pepper growing here, I do like to keep peppercorns on hand and grind them fresh on food,

It can be grown anywhere with a temperate climate but it's just too easy to purchase peppercorns at the market.

@Vikingswest1 We too have many fruit trees but not many vegetables. Areca, Coconut and pepper are cash crops We sell them. Our garden has many flowers and a lawn on the terrace

I love to garden too but have to pick and choose which crops to grow.
I grow green beans, lettuce, strawberries, asparagus, carrots, potatoes, rhubarb, beets, snap peas and swiss chard. I have three different apple trees, a cherry tree and a pear tree. I just lost my apricot tree this past winter.
Peppercorn is two bucks a pound.
