A rescue story from Atlanta Georgia

An oak tree and power line crash into an auto in Atlanta on Sunday morning

I knew that after Tropical Depression Claudette passed over the southeast region of the United States, the news of rescues related to the storm would surface. In northwest Atlanta this Sunday morning, a female driver was driving on a road that had been hit hard by the effects of the storm caused a tree and a power line to fall on top of her auto while she was inside driving. The driver of the auto most likely called 911 to ask for help from the Atlanta Fire Rescue who came to the scene of the accident to get her out of her auto safely by using their special tools that they possess on their firetrucks. The accident victim was taken to Grady Hospital to be treated for her injuries. Her condition is not known at this time. I am only hoping that she makes a full and speedy recover from her injuries. The saturated ground is likely what caused the tree and power line to crash into her auto since there was no severe weather at the time of the accident.

You should avoid driving after a storm like that if at all possible. As you said, the ground becomes very soft and unstable.

That is the warning that the authorities have begged many motorists to avoid driving on the road after a storm.

I agree with you since what the accident scene looked like was scary with the tree on top of her car.

I know what you mean since the weather casters have stated the storm would cause damage to any area that it would touch. Hopefully the lady will recover from her injuries.

I agree with you since bad weather after a storm causes many accidents.
