Admin's factual statement that US is not the richest country may be correct. But still I want to start discussion on the point that we find many US NGOs moving out to help poor people in Africa and Asia and they are unable to remove the problem of homelessness in US itself. Can anybody explain this paradox ?

People are losing their homes a lot due to covid. I know many people who are angry that the US doesn't help people at home first. I just think that everyone deserves better.

I agree the U.S. need better progrems and resorces to help their own people. However, given the national debt and how money is being used, we rely on other nations. Hell, many of our products are importated from other counteries. All because they want the relations to hopefully dig ourselves out of the whole we created for ourselves.

Homelessness is not solvable when people don’t want to move into a home

What's an NGO? There will always be poor people, no matter where they live.
