Doctors call what they do as "practice". Isn't it scary??!!!

Hi guys,
Hope you all are doing good. I am doing good too. I came across this funny quote, " Doctors call what they do as practice, isn't it scary???".
If we think logically, it's fact it's very scary because doctors are the people we trust with our life. It's just a lingo they use but in literal way it sounds scary and wierd.

They keep experimenting with new tools and medicines on the patients and this is called practice.

Hmm, I don't think so, but when I hear "practice" here I think practical instead of theoretical.
Or maybe that they think they're fully trained? Hmm, maybe I should call my teaching "practice" too, 'cause you never really know everything, even in your own profession.
