Well, it happened to me because of coffee. Well, not sure how bad your insomnia is. probably milk for starters and not watching anything from tv, to computers andcellphones then relax in bed. see how it works. sleeping pills is your last option.

Maybe watch your caffeine intake during the day?? I have it too sometimes, but the past couple of nights it has been cooler and I have slept better.

I came to know if you eat boiled eggs late in the evening it will help you sleep better , try some day
