In a time where the news media are painting the actions of a few bad cops who cross the line in doing their duty, this story that comes from the north of Tampa Florida when two Pasco County Sheriff's Office (PCSO) answered a call from a concerned citizen that a man was loitering in the back of a gasoline station 12 days ago.
When the two PCSO deputies arrived to speak to the homeless man, one of the police officers noticed that the homeless man was not wearing any shoes.
The police officers then bought the homeless man a pair of flip flops and then asked him if he wanted to have something to eat since he appeared to be hungry.
When the homeless man said to the deputies that he was hungry, the deputies bought him a meal that made the homeless man a very happy person that police officers in Pasco County are friendly and not the monsters that the national news media make them out to be with the exceptions of a few bad apples.
I guess the homeless man went on his way after getting fed and getting something for his feet.

Bad news are emphasized in the newspaper and the good one seems to be withheld or given less importance if not at all.

That is true since the news media have a saying which is "Never let a crisis go to waste."

I agree with you since it is nice to report good deeds done by police instead of the headlines of the actions of a few rogue officers on the force in the headlines.
