The Other Thing About That Educator That Annoyed Me....Part 2

So continuing on from my previous post, what really annoyed me was my last day at Prac. I had to do an obstacle course with the children. I wrote it all down step by step and I took photos of each step. (took photos of the equipment outside in order of what I was going to do.)
Miss D0uche Nozzle read my plan and wanted me to change it. She wanted me to not use the play equipment, she wanted me to use everything available except the play equipment. Which made it harder as this centre was moving and throwing a lot of their stuff out or moving it to the new location.
Anyway, I did the obstacle course. The children loved it so much, they did it over and over again. Then I challenged them and got them to do the course backwards. Climbing, balancing, jumping, hopping, a pattern / sequence. I used whatever I could possible to create this obstacle course.
D0uche Nozzle gave me bad feedback. This was literally the conversation:
Her: "I don't believe you know what an obstacle course is."
Me: "I'm sorry you feel that way but I actually do. I've simulated it 3 times in my class and actually done a few obstacle courses at the other childcare centre and passed."
Her: "No, I think you need to research Obstacle Courses for children."
Me: "May I ask, what is an obstacle course to you?"
Her: "The fact that you're asking me means you don't know what one is."
Me: "No, I'm asking your perspective."
Her: sigh "Well it should involve climbing, crawling, going over things....fair enough we didn't have the items for you to do more as we are moving but you still could have involved more." ---- (what??)
Me: "Well yes I didn't have access to much but it's why I wanted the playground for more challenges but I did incorporate everything you mentioned."
Anyway, it kept going in circles and I ended it with "Thank you for your feedback."
When I saw my teacher, my teacher read the written feedback and said "Jesus! Danielle, it's ok because I'm your teacher, you've had nothing but positive feedback this whole time and I've been assessing you and you pass, so it's ok."
Thankfully my teacher has met this woman during an assessment once and my teacher also stated this woman is quite nasty to talk to.
Anyway thank you for reading. I am so glad I am DONE with all that Prac stuff and away from Miss D0uche Nozzle!

I suspect her educational objective for an obstacle course is vastly different than what I would consider important!
i would argue - younger children easier course. The reality being you want to both teach (physical skills) but also encourage (see you were able to do it)!
now you know why I am not a teacher anymore.

@DocAndersen I went through everything I did with my teacher as well as showing her photos (because we had to do that too) and my teacher was very confused and quite fed up with this educator's attitude. I'm glad my teacher took time to hear me out and assured me everything I did was fine and on the correct track.

@VivaLaDani13 education, like consulting, has to have a whistleblower process. We, have to be able to report things without fear of reprisal.
glad your teacher supported you!!!!!!!!!

She sounds very nasty to deal with and so glad that your teacher met her so can understand why you did not like her. So, now what are you going to do since you passed?

@Hannihar I am so glad too that my teacher met her as well and my teacher assuring me that everything I did was correct.
I am wanting a break for awhile to do some things at home that are important to me so not really thinking about any jobs right now. Later I will.

I can understand that. I am also glad your teacher saw how she is and can understand so much more and know you were right and she was wrong.

@snowy22315 I agree with you. Whatever problems she's having, she needs to fix them ASAP. Well, I mean her attitude really.
I'm so happy to never see her ever again!

The fact that you're asking me means you don't know what one is
I seriously hate that. My senior at work once said the same thing. I was new at the time so I asked. I didn't want to do my job different from what I learned. Clarification is important. So when she said that, I saw her as a petty person. Still do until now even after she resigned.

@prinzcy I don't blame you for still seeing her in that light even while she's not there any more. I'm sorry you experienced her in the work place and hopefully you won't deal with any other like her again!

Great way to handle that "educator-thing". I don't understand why things like her choose profession that involves children when they hate it so much. Just for a pay check? Is it that huge sum of money? She is going to spend it all on cosmetics or facial reconstruction living as she is with a hard scowl plastered on her face all day and not to forget the fake smiles.

@Daljinder "Educator thing." "Things like her."
Loving that!
I don't understand either. I have wondered if she has always been like this. Either way, she's being this way now and it's really not beneficial for the children. I dislike this woman immensely.

@VivaLaDani13 Yeah Seriously! Kids and Pets should never be around such waste of oxygen in my opinion. I try very hard to not think about them coz they literally make my blood boil.

What a name Miss D0uche Nozzle. Is it her real name? I was once an elementary school teacher in physical education. And I had a division PE supervisor who's fault finder. Nothing she could find good in my plan than herself.

@Nakitakona Thank you kindly for understanding. I appreciate it. I'm not a nasty person. But when someone has been nasty to me or others, I don't care for them anymore.

@Nakitakona haha nah. Her real name isn't Miss D0uche Nozzle. I'm am just calling her that as I do not know how to spell her real name but even then, I'd rather call her this or worse really. She's not a nice person.
I'm sorry you had to deal with that type of person. I know everyone is different but it can be hard sometimes accepting someone when they are pretty mean.

@VivaLaDani13 You're entitled for that. That's your right to call her as such. And I respect it.
