I just learned about this a few moments ago. Kinda remind me of that incident of the twin towers. But this apartment at the center falling down at the center.
Sad to those people who were behind over there. What shocks me is that they only do recertification after every 40 yrs, can they just cut it to like every 15?
Reminds me of my cousin who bought a studio size here few years back. I think he already sold it few months ago.
The full investigation into why a Florida condo collapsed could take months, but we’re already learning more about the building and its history. The focus in...

@Letranknight2015 I guess they need to have regular checks upon the surrounding buildings in that area. I think if that happened in that place I am sure there are others that also need inspecting soon before another one happens in their area.

Inspection every forty years is just unthinkable, any possible of deterioration already happened within the span of forty years.

I don't really want to go out there now knowing the threat of building going down and you have no escape.

I hope they start really checking buildings better all over so this doesn't happen again.

I can certainly understand that. I think I developed my fear of heights when I lived on the 12th floor of an apartment building in Honolulu. I really appreciate living in a single-story structure, and one that’s older (my house was built in 1950). It’s survived a lot. (Of course, the ground where I live has a lot of hard rock under it, not the sandy soil in Florida.)
