Woot! Woot!! MS State pulled off the win with a score of 9-0 over Vanderbilt to bring home the very 1st National Championship in any sport for Miss. State! This team put forth a very good effort and made Vanderbilt look like a team that wasn't much of a contender in both last night's game and tonight's game. Vandy only scored 2 runs in last night's game and were shut out tonight. What was funny to me is how much the commentators bragged about Vandy's pitcher and he didn't hold up very well. When he walked 3 players in a row, the coach finally called him out of the game. MS State's pitcher stayed in until the 7th inning and kept throwing the k's. I really hate when the commentators take sides. They need to be neutral calling a game. All hail to State! 2021 National Champions! Did you think Miss. State could pull off the win in the College World Series? Photo Credit: Pixabay, Public Domain

Um, I don't follow sports so I had no idea whether or not they could do that. But I like your enthusiasm in this post! My parents were not into sports at all, so therefore I didn't grow up with sports in the house, except at Thanksgiving and maybe New Years? Then when I was an adult, my Dad started following the UCONN Huskies girls basketball team, and he got my husband into it, so we did have Huskies basketball games on whenever there was a game. Was your family big on sports when you were growing up?

@Kouponkaren I have a couple of friends who are big Huskie fans! My mother certainly was not into sports. My dad liked to watch football but that was about it. So no, my family was not big into sports. Of course when I started working at LSU, I had to be a fan !

@kareng Oh yes, I guess you are right on that one. Did you work in the athletics department by any chance?

Wishing them luck. You see that a lot in football too. You can tell which team they want to win.

Yes, you do! And they will even say something bad about a player when the spotlight is on them if they don't like him. That is just cruel.

@wolfgirl569 I think a lot of the world/or people are too busy trying to be politically correct and to please everyone vs. being and acting like a professional.

@kareng that is how long they haven't won an NCAA championship. i honestly don't know if they won one that long ago, or that is how old the school is sorry.
