In Washington DC area we were getting thunderstorms, rain and some wind. Five construction workers were building a five story house. The houses and buildings in DC are close together.
Apparently window swooped down in between the buildings and the five story structure collapsed. There were 5 workers trapped under the rubble of the building. Firefighter's and rescue workers came and got 4 men out without life threatening injuries! Thank God!
They brought in a bucket truck and a dog to help find the 5th worker. The dog found him and they could talk to him and see him after they put a camera down there.
Luckily they were able to pull the man out and I am watching it live on tv now and he is being taken to the hospital now.
I am praying that he is ok?

We got that wind and rain it came and went quick on the outskirts of DC. The Potomac got it. We are good right now but hopefully anyone in the way of it’s rainy wind path is good

I am in northern Virginia and we got all that plus thunder and lightening too. That is great that your good, same here. Apparently the storms are coming back soon. Maryland is apparently in bad shape. 16,000 people have no power and the same in other places in DC, MD and VA.

@dfollin yeah the storms started last night also in Norther Virginia the good thing the kids didn’t get wet form the rain sine it started after summer school.

Thank God that the men were able to be saved. It could have been another tragic building collapse story. I hope the 5th man is OK.

Same here. Perhaps they'll be able to figure out better percautions to take so nothing like this happens again. It could've been far worse.
