Everyone wants to know the truth but a few can handle it!!!

Hi guys,
Hope you all are doing good. I am doing good too. I hope everyone is relaxing and enjoying time with family.
I believe that we hear from almost everyone that one has to be truthful, has to speak the truth and all, which is fine and I completely agree but there are very few people who can handle the truth.
For example, parents tell their children to say the truth. If the child has escape the house and gone to friends house for sleepover. The child will tell the truth. At that time, majority of parents scold them instead of talking to them, making them understand what they did was wrong.
Many a times, the scolding discourages or fears people from saying truth in life.

Oh my this speaks so true to me. I thought I wanted to know the ultimate truth about existence, but when I started meditating and hearing about the nature of our being and existence, i went insane

Truth is bitter for many. Many people would love to live in a world of lies.
But in most cases, it is not possible to escape from the truth for a long time.
