Once more I came across the highlights of this One Day International.
This was played in March 2000 and was the first one under the then newly appointed captain Sourav Ganguly.
He was appointed the captain after the Indian team continued its bad run in Australia in home series tests vs South Africa as well under Sachin Tendulkar's captaincy.
Sachin himself was still doing good, the team wasn't.
So it was the start of another era in the Indian cricket(2000-2005).
In this match, South Africa scored 301 led by good batting from Gibbs, Gary Kirsten and Jacques Kallis. Then India started well with some good hits by Sourav Ganguly. Later Ajay Jadeja-92 and assisted by Mohammad Azharuddin - 42 and Robin Singh led India to an exciting win with just two balls left.
India won that series 3-2 and was a good comeback after a pathetic test series.

Farce at the finish made a nonsense of the batting feast that preceded it. The last over began with eight needed. Pollock's second delivery was called no-bal...

Is figure skating also an event in the Summer Olympics?

It was a bilateral series. Sourav Ganguly was just made captain. Azhar and Ajay Jadeja were still playing.
They were banned due to their involvement in match-fixing and betting a few months after this series.
Ganguly and Tendulkar played some good knocks in this series.
India won mainly due to some good batting knocks; in this match- Ajay Jadeja supported by Azhar and Robin Singh.
Also, surprisingly, Rahul Dravid took 2 wickets in that match!

Yes even I did not remember that and it looked quite interesting. In fact, he provided two crucial breaks in that match!
