Well, back to Cricket. I am in fact also looking forward to the Olympics 2021 action. But before that I keep on checking old cricket match highlights. This match was the 4th one in the ODI series between India and South Africa in March 2000. India was leading by 2-1. South Africa played first in this match at Vadodra and made 281 runs. In return, India started briskly with Sourav Ganguly and Sachin having a 100 plus stand. Sachin scored a great century - 122 runs. It was a delight to watch. Azhar supported with 39 runs. India did lose some quick wickets in between but Robin Singh and Anil Kumble led India to an exciting last over finish. Here is the YouTube Link :

Remember watching it holding our breath with my huge gang of cousins. It was just a month after our official engagement and my fiancee was on landline constantly bugging my brother for recent scores. He was in US and had no access to this match

@arunima25 I remember this series since India had lost against Australia in Australia before, performed badly in an ODI Tri-series and then had lost two test matches against South Africa. The Indian selectors appointed Sourav Ganguly as the new captain. This series win was quite significant and heralded a new era in the Indian cricket. In a way, this has been my most favorite Indian cricket era with the core players: Sourav Ganguly, Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, VVS Laxman, Virendra Sehwag, Anil Kumble, Zaheer Khan, Yuvraj Singh and then Harbhajan Singh.
