It is amazing that a four year old girl named Amelia Jermyn used her wits to alert her dad Daniel P. Jermyn that his air fryer was on fire above the stove while he was away in another room inside of their home in Jacksonville Florida on Saturday afternoon. Amelia was dancing to one of the songs of the Disney movie "Frozen" when she noticed that the air fryer had caught fire and she needed to take quick action before a major disaster would have happened had her dad not taken action to prevent the kitchen from becoming a fire zone. Daniel upon hearing his daughter's pleas for help grabbing the air fryer that was on fire with his bare hands and threw the air fryer into the swimming pool since he could not find a fire extinguisher. Daniel then managed to put out the fire that came from the air fryer on the kitchen floor by drowning it with water from a cup.. Daniel is thankful that his daughter did alert him of the air fryer on top of the stovetop that was on fire by calling her his hero. The cause of the air fryer burning on top of the stove was a short circuit. Thank goodness everybody is safe in this story.

If she panics, Amelia may have lost her mind and worst may happen. But she didn't. She's brave.

I agree with you since she did say to herself "Think." and "Get help." when she ran to ask her dad for help.

You are right. Amelia is a very smart young girl for her age to ask her dad for help when the kitchen fire started.

I'm so glad Amelia alerted her father to the danger. Every kitchen should have a fire extinguisher.
