how to cook a pig in the ground

I,m havin a party in the mountains and i want to buy a pig to roast. The location is hard to get to so i cant bring a roaster. I want to cook the pig in the ground bu i don't know how!!! can somebody give me some feedback for this process!!!! thanks

Yes I can help you to start dig a good size hole say 2 feet deep build a big fire now you are going to need lots of wood so start early when you have a lot of coals fill the hole up to around 1 foot with coals either get rocks or a thin layer of sand or better is use a heap of banana leaves dont use **heshian bags** then put pig in then more rocks or sand or banana leaves then heaps of coals on top then leave now depending how big the pig is and you can cook whole vegies in there as well dont peel just throw them in **beautiful** cook for I would say 5-6 hours then dig it out and PIG IN ****

i guess you want to cook a LECHON.... you can cut a big barrel lengthwise then use one side of it to burn your charcoal so that you won't make some mess on the ground.

wrap the pig in wet hesam bags bury it light a big fire on top for about 5 hours dig it up and it will be spot on

in the ground -difficult but u can hang it on fire and cook it tastes great!!
