Day 27 Exodus 4:18 And Moses went and returned to Jethro his father-in-law, and said unto him, “Let me go, I pray thee, and return unto my brethren which are in Egypt, and see whether they be yet alive.” And Jethro said to Moses, “Go in peace.” 19 And the LORD said unto Moses in Midian, “Go, return into Egypt: for all the men are dead which sought thy life.” 20 And Moses took his wife and his sons, and set them upon an ass, and he returned to the land of Egypt: and Moses took the rod of God in his hand. 21 And the LORD said unto Moses, “When thou go to return into Egypt, see that thou do all those wonders before Pharaoh, which I have put in thine hand: but I will harden his heart, that he shall not let the people go. 22 “And thou shalt say unto Pharaoh, ‘Thus says the LORD, Israel is my son, even my firstborn: 23 ‘And I say unto thee, let my son go, that he may serve me: and if thou refuse to let him go, behold, I will slay thy son, even thy firstborn.’” What is prayer? Prayer is communication between two or more people. Prayer doesn’t need to be done on your knees with your head bowed, your hands folded, and your eyes closed. Prayer can be talking as you would a friend face-to-face over a cup of coffee or tea. Prayer is getting direction and instruction from someone on what you need to do. God got Moses’ attention when he saw the burning bush. He didn’t know he would meet God and get a new direction for his life. God gave him instructions to go to Pharaoh and tell him to let His people go. However, there was a catch in the instructions. God told Moses Pharaoh wouldn’t let His people go. He did that to show Pharaoh who God is through the different signs and wonders God instructed Moses to show him. As Christians, you don’t think of God as someone who gives threats if you don’t do what He tells you. Before you became a Christian, you thought of the Bible as a series of don’ts more than dos. You don’t know how you came to that conclusion except someone told you and you believed them because someone told them. Then something happened and you met God face to face. And you saw for yourself the power of God to save you. You saw only God’s love and not the God portrayed in the law when He met with Moses. God told Moses two things. He told him everyone who sought his life was dead. Here you see a correlation between Moses and Jesus. God told Mary and Joseph to go to Egypt because the king would try to kill Jesus. When King Herod died, God told them all those who sought to kill Jesus were dead and they could return home. Matthew 2:13 And when they were departed, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream, saying, “Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and flee into Egypt, and be thou there until I bring thee word: for Herod will seek the young child to destroy him.” 14 When he arose, he took the young child and his mother by night, and departed into Egypt: 15 And was there until the death of Herod: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Out of Egypt have I called my son. Matthew 2:19 But when Herod was dead, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared in a dream to Joseph in Egypt, 20 Saying, “Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and go into the land of Israel: for they are dead which sought the young child’s life.” 21 And he arose, and took the young child and his mother, and came into the land of Israel. God chose Moses to lead His people to Canaan, the Promised Land. Moses would be a type of savior to the people as he brought them out of slavery. God also told Moses, He would harden Pharaoh’s heart so He could show him signs and wonders, even the threat of the death of the firstborn of Egypt, leaving no doubt in anyone’s mind that God is God and there is none other. What has God told you to do for Him? Do you feel a threat in the instructions? Today, the threat is to Satan. As you tell others about Jesus’ love for them and how He saved you, you tear down Satan’s kingdom when a new soul accepts Jesus as Savior and Lord. You lead that person from bondage to sin, to a new life in Jesus Christ. 2 Corinthians 5:14 For the love of Christ constrains us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead: 15 And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again. 16 Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more. 17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. 18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; 19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. 20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God. 21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. You belong to Jesus Christ if you accepted Him as Savior and Lord. You no longer live for yourself, but you live to bring others to Jesus as His ambassador. Moses’ was God’s ambassador to Pharaoh. He had one mission, to bring the people out of Egypt and bring them to the Promised Land. It wouldn’t be easy. When you do God’s work, it’s never easy, but it is always rewarding. Let’s pray: Father, You gave me one instruction, to go to the nations and preach the gospel to every person so they would know Your Son, Jesus Christ, and accept Him as their Savior. Help me to be Your ambassador to the world, showing people Your love and leading them to the Promised Land, heaven with You. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen. Nowadays there are so many wonders which God did but some people didn't notice that for they're not in tune with God.

You need to be in tune with God to see His work.
