Life can be hard at times, no doubt out about that, many get the idea that having faith means we are going to breeze through life, but that's not the case, not even close, some of the strongest Christians I know, experienced great pain. Sister Ruth was one of my spiritual mentors, and after my Grandmother's death became like a Grandmother to me, walked into her daughters house in the mid to late 70's to find her daughter had been stabbed to death. M, and P each had to bury children. I watched a friend's son loose his battle to Neuroblastoma at the age of nine. I lost an Uncle, and a dear friend both to an aneurysm my uncle was 42, my friend 36. And though those things will always hurt the grief remains, there is a great deal of comfort in Faith. Gloria Estefan sings so beautifully of that in her song Coming Out of the Dark. In 1990 she was nearly killed in a bus accident, a spinal cord injury left her paralyzed, but by the Grace of God about a year later, she'd walk on stage to.perform this beautiful song.
