Novel terminologies again for me.
King's tide is the highest predicted tide in a coastal location.
Moon's Wobble Effect refers to the fluctuation of the moon's gravitational pull that could amplify tides on earth.
Scientists believe this will be a catastrophic event waiting to happen in nine years. 2030 could be doomsday!
Nay!
Immediately after the fiasco the thugs of London has put upon the football world, England received flashfloods.
Then came the deluge in Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands as massive flood waters engulfed the region and rendered the dwellers homeless.
One overwhelmed citizen quipped: 'This happens in Asia, not here.'
Nope! Climate change affects the whole world. Europe is not an exception.
But I get what you mean. The infrastructure in the said places are high tech. I was also shocked to see pipes bursting. The massive flashflood must have been a tremendous force that the drainage system broke.
We in Asia are sympathetic. But if we could rise from such deluge, much more can you.
Our prayers.

Disaster is a blessing in disguise, and it depends on how people look at the events or even in their personal experience. I'm sure, the EU is there to help.

I do not know how a disaster is a blessing in disguise.

@asianlady Quantum physics refers to the way the universe behaves at the scale of atoms, electrons and photons. The entirety of space, time, matter, energy, information, and the physical laws and constants that describe these comprise the multiverse.
The disasters could find explanation from Quantum Physics. I do not know how, though, why it is a blessing in disguise.
Most likely, if man heeds to care for the earth, he will be rewarded a new earth.

@eileenleyva It's hard to believe, but that's what I learned from the book I was reading about quantum physics.

@rsa101 Not privy to the countries' economic status. One thing is for sure, the deluge has become a cautionary tale of what is to be Europe's woes.

I was shocked to see a clip on flash floods in Germany as we are not used to seeing such things in Europe. That showed the vulnerability of developed world against nature's fury. Our sympathies and prayers are with those who lost their belongings.

I have first-hand experience of what a deluge means. It is not something we'd wish even for our enemies.
Been praying that every citizen of the world set aside their personal opinion about climate change and begin participating in proposed ways to heal mother earth.
A decade ago, a tsunami had hit Japan after an earthquake that measured 9 on the Richter Scale. Predictions have been disseminated about the Cascadian earthquake that could change the geography of the world.
I think I have become fatalistic when it comes to natural disasters.
