Do you have sleep problems? You may take some tips from this man

Meet this man. He stays in the Western Province of Rajasthan in India. He runs a grocery shop. But the most astounding part is that he sleeps continuously for 20 - 25 days. During his 'hibernation' days, he needs to be bathed and clothed (and fed too), but none of these activities wake him up. Doctors have identified it as a rare neurological disorder but there's no cure as of now I guess. The news said he has a wife, I don't know how her wife goes through all this. Poor couples. If you want to know more, the link's below.

Yeah, I think he is alive because he has a wife only. Nobody would look after him except a devoted wife. Seems like the wife truly loves him.

@Sojourn poor lady. Yes she might be loving him, otherwise who will take care of? Now technically speaking, what love would she be getting from her husband who is sleeping 300 days of an year

It's very rare, and i've heard of it. Normally affects the younger generation. Hopefully his body will outgrow it, many do.

I assume he must be well rested ? I wonder if he has dreams/nightmares that continue on and on since he does not wake up.

@Sojourn It might be like living another life - one that is only in the mind of course. Unless he doesn't dream at all - that part of his brain just shutting off.

I’ve heard of this, but many outgrow it. Meanwhile, I feel sorry for his wife. She has to be his caretaker.

Depression can do the opposite too, make you feel very sleepy.
26 Jul 21
@Sojourn I'm really depressed, and it's been a year.. I can't sleep well thinking how to overcome such problems.. if you're always sleepy that's the worst case, I've experienced that way back 2020..

It is only different from coma when the person again wakes up after 20 - 25 days.
