I woke up remembering family jokes.

Good morning dear lotters. Many of you must have heard about the sweet robot (R2-D2) from Star Wars. In Spanish we called it Arturito as it sounds the same and is a first name. Years ago, we bought a small gas heater with wheels. It was light and could be taken anywhere. We named it Arturito after the Star Wars robot. Time went by, Arturito was a wonderful buy and it didn´t take up much space. Time passed and my mother told me that she had gone shopping for an Arturito and there wasn´t any at any shop. They are everywhere during winter, I said. And suddenly I asked her "What did you ask for?" "An Arturito, of course" she replied. I laughed so hard that I almost peed in my pants Mom, I said, this is a gas heater and there are several brands. Arturito is a robot (and I explained). Decades later Arturito is still with me although several heaters have had to be replaced. I remembered this because I had to take Arturito to the kitchen. The big, new heater has no gas and I will have someone younger replace the cylinder. I have never called Arturito anything but by the name we gave it (him, at this time of life). And I will not name the other heater. It doesn´t deserve a name.

Arturito . Oh my gosh I can just imagine what a salesperson would think with her asking for an Arturito . I guess your other heater doesn't have as much personality as Arturito .

If you pronounce R2-D2 like a person would, inn Spanish, it is Arturito. And that heated was worthy of the name.
