Jamestown police officer Mark Conklin is being praised for his act of bravery last night when he ran toward a fire that trapped five persons who were trapped inside the home. Officer Conklin was able to get three persons out of the first floor of the two story home safely. Then after the police officer radioed for backup to assist him, he went outside of the burning home to tell a mom and her child to jump off of the second floor to the ground below by catching them with the help of other persons before the firefighters came to douse the flames of the burning home. I am sure that Officer Conklin will be rewarded by his superiors in the near future with an award for his act of bravery for saving lives in a burning home since he did take an oath to serve and protect his community.

I agree with you on this matter since it takes a lot of courage to save persons in a fire inside of a home.

It's great there are amazing officers out there who risk their lives respecting their oath. I guess for some it's like a vocation.
