Daughter and I made a mad dash to the fuel station and the grocery after mid day yesterday. The car was out of gas and the refrigerator was out of cold cuts. We needed eggs also for our daily omelet.
The heavens rambled with what seemed like unending thunder play. Zeus or Thor must be on some kind of rage. Frightening really.
And so I prayed again and hoped the sun will come out tomorrow.
But it hasn't.
Tomorrow has come today but the sun has not come out yet.
Brought the garbage out and my doggy sat on his spot to watch the street. Even my young, furry canine wondered why the surrounding was bleak.
Oh well, it's a gloomy globe right now. Even I was shocked to learn Siberia is burning.
Extreme weather has triggered forest fires in Canada, the US and Russia. Even Earth's coldest winter city in Siberia is burning. #Gravitas #ClimateChange #Si...

It rained too much and it flooded our area. Flood water came in my parent's home. The flood was ankle-level inside the house. Good thing we moved things to the second and third floors.

@eileenleyva the flood water subsided after two hours.
I got into cleaning already. The rest opted to rest. I finished around midnight and managed to clean 3/4s of the living room/kitchen area. I took a shower before sleeping - tired but definitely still pleased that the flood wasn't that bad.
Of course, I prefer that there was no flooding.

@allen0187 I'd do the same if the same happens to me. Couldn't rest with flood inside the house.
Disinfecting is necessary especially so because the waters definitely carry leptospirosis.
Get a good day's rest.

Oh my, I am so sorry, Must have been very taxing for the entire household. Good thing you are there to provide muscle.
That's a good foresight.
The rains has not stopped. I hope the flood has not increased in your home.

While the rains are lashing, the oceans are also rising.

@prashu228 Yes. I used plastic bags and bottles before. Even if I disposed these properly, I contributed to the degradation of the environment.
We are all guilty.

I really have been telling other Mylot users that the weather is strange worldwide. I hope it is not too late for us to reverse the climate change.

Too late. The glaciers are gone. The oceans are rising. This is the inconvenient truth we had been warned about decades ago. The future has come.
