I was watching the proceedings on television when countries are being ushered in the arena . I really waited for my country impatiently. When my country was finally called out, I was very happy! I know it's something which might sound crazy but am very happy and pray for every country during the competition and that they stay safe. They are our heroes and heroines. They have gone to represent us.

It must have been great relief to organisers that the games finally took off. There were strong rumours that the Olympics might be called off at last moment because of spike in covid cases in the city as well as some athletes getting infected. Hope the games go on smoothly without much problems.

@Laurakemunto Yes they must have spend so much of money and energy in getting ready for staging of these games.
