With only four songs to go, two of which are album cuts, I thought I’d better throw in another bonus song in my list of Queen favorites. Yes, I do like this, but it didn’t make the cut. No reason to not list it as a bonus song, though. BONUS: Another One Bites the Dust Freddie, you need a song the cats can dance to. — Michael Jackson to Freddie Mercury Check. John Deacon is a big fan of R&B, so he decided to go all left field on Queen. Of course, The Game had more than one surprise up its vinyl sleeve for fans: the nod to 50s rockabilly, “Crazy Little Thing Called Love,” is on this album as well. Deacon was inspired by the song “Good Times” by Chic to come up with the bass line that carries the song. The lyrics are quite clever, too, equating a hit man (“machine guns ready to go”) in the underworld with the hit-and-run lovers in life (“you took me for everything that I had and kicked me out on my own”). It became a #1 hit for Queen in 1980. It’s also significant in that it helped launch the career of one Alfred Matthew Yankovic. “Another One Rides the Bus” was Weird Al’s second hit (after “My Bologna,” the spoof of “My Sharona”). I used to really like this one until radio played it way too often.

That’s probably why I subconsciously left it off. I don’t listen to the radio anymore, but this and “Bohemian Rhapsody” still get way too much airplay at the expense of every other Queen hit (and yes, they did have other hits, radio station program directors…..).

This is another song that reminds me being on the school bus in 6th grade - and that time in general. I still listen to this - so much that even my kids know it so well .

I love this one, It is especially amusing to see it in movies where they show a wedding and the guests are hopping around to this song slightly tipsy,
