Thi si the time of year when every charity in existence is taking up collections. Do you donate money? If you do, then how much do you usually donate? I donate small amounts when I see things at the grocery store, and I donate small amounts throughout the year. How about you?

baby cake - two-tier cake for baby shower with fondant babies
I give to Joyce Meyer ministries, to a community of nuns who are friends of mine, we support a child in Guatemala and a small amount to EWTN...the catholic tv network, and to church. Not as much as I would like, though.

I donate spare money to charities when I can... I usually tend to help more homeless rather then bell ringers/people outside the stores. There are a couple homeless people that have lived around my area for the past 3-4 years. This year I am going to donate to a few charities. I'm donating the profits of my Squidoo lense to three different charities. The charities are The Libery Kids, Young Inventors International, and Action Against Hunger. My lense features Letters and Phone Calls from Santa. If anyone would like to check it out you can visit: http://www.squidoo.com/santasletters/ I would highly encourage people who can't donate cash to do the same. Create a Squidoo lense on any topic, and elect to have your earnings donated to a charity of your choice. It's a great way to give.

Another great way to give when you are short on cash, is to volunteer your time. Organizations always seem to need volunteers, and it is a very rewarding way to spend a couple of hours.

Thanks for the response! And I'm sure that those organizations thank you too. I am of the opinion that even a little bit from a lot of people will do some good!
