We often get news about all those extravagant weddings. Wedding is a special occasion and people want to make it memorable. And no doubt everyone around the bride and groom want to look good for the ocassion and for the photoshoot and video filming. And bride and groom definitely want to look their best on their special day. Now bridal dresses and their designing is very much in demand business. And people break their heads and let their creative juices flow to make a memorable one for themselves. Bride's dress has always been the limelight of the wedding. As soon as I picked up my phone after my afternoon nap, this news flashed. A 100 kg wedding lehenga just blows off my mind. I wonder how she was able to move around in that. And I assume that she might have developed some pain in neck and shoulders to carry that weight. The news is going around on the social media. Was it more to get social media attention than to dress up for a special day?? Enjoy mylotting

Gosh! I don`t like wearing a heavy dress like that. I wore a very simple white wedding dress when I got married

@arunima25 My wife also wore lehenga. Saree is more comfortable than lehenga. But in these it is in fashion. Lehenga is also available on rent so most are renting it, Thanks for wishes

@anil02 Yes, lehenga is in fashion. Earlier, it was our traditional saree and dresses for wedding. Now brides from all states go for lehenga. We have a special significance of wedding dress and people don't prefer to rent it.

She looks pretty there. They look like a great couple. God bless them. Nowadays people are crazy about designer lehenga. I wore a simple saree for my marriage. I am not comfortable with heavy dresses.

The lehenga stealed the limelight. It got more attention than her on her special day

@arunima25 I agree. When I saw that gown, I just shook my head at the extravagance of everything, cost, and outrageous display of that dress.

@just4him I felt the same way. All to seek some attention and be in limelight. But at the end, if we give a thought, the dress got more attention than the bride on her special day

This wedding dress is from Pakistan. 100 kg is too much of weight. It becomes more of weightlifting event than marriage.

Certainly a day she would remember for the rest of her life. Maybe someone helped her to carry the dress around. Like holding it while she walked. As beautiful as it was, I don't think I want to be uncomfortable on my wedding day.

It would have definitely needed a few people to lift the dress to make her walk. I would also not enjoy my special day with so much of weight to carry around. The dress got more attention than her on her special day

If people make a big deal of their weddings it may be that they get off to a very optimistic start that will help them through the first year which is often quite a difficult one....

One needs that kind of money to throw to show that level of enthusiasm and optimism

She did look beautiful. But so much of pain to look gorgeous! It's more of weightlifting than carrying a bridal dress.

It looked like a 100 kg red carpet for me. Anyway, they have the kind of money that they can throw on such ridiculous things.

It's actually insane. And the attention goes to her lehenga. She looses the limelight on her special day Carrying something double one's weight with a bride's grace is no joke. I am sure she would have got pain for few days

It looks more like a carpet than a dress. A dress almost double your weight.
