Dog alerts his owner that his home is on fire at 3am

A female dog named Maggy is being praised by her owner Joel Rosa who was asleep around 3am on Wednesday in Tangerine Florida when his home was hit by lightning during a thunderstorm that started a fire. Maggy managed to get the attention of her owner by barking a lot to alert him that he needed to get out of his home as soon as possible. Joel managed to call 911 to report the news of his home being on fire. The roof of his home was on fire that caused part of the roof to collapse. Orange County Fire Rescue spokesperson Lisa McDonald mentioned that 80 percent of the 7.000 square foot property was damaged by the fire. Lisa mentioned that Maggy is the hero for waking up her owner when the fire broke out. The good news is that the American Red Cross is assisting Joel and Maggy to find some temporary housing at this time.
