There are many flowers that can used to make dyes for use in food Butterfly Pea Flower )Clitoria tarnetea)is one such flower which is used for making a beautiful blue dye which colour is very rare. Creating a dye from flowers is simple. Just boil water and dip the flowers and cook till the petals leave the colour. If you want to obtain a purple hue just add a bit of lemon juice. Butterfly pea flowers can also be used to make tea which has several health propertie.s

Our butterfly pea flower didn't grow well. Told my brother to transfer the plant. I mixed that one in lemon drink or cucumber and very refreshing.

Wow! You already know about it. We had 3 colours but they disappeared. I now thought I had two but only the white are blooming.

That's interesting, I don't think we have many such flowers here, mostly vegetable juices are used, or fruit. The other day I used blackcurrant juice to demonstrate the effect of pH (acid/alkali) for the girls. It starts purple, if you add tap water (slightly alkali) it turns blue, if you add lemon juice (weak acid) it turns pink. This sounds similar.
