Lisa Phillips who lives in Philadelphia Pennsylvania takes a morning walk with her two dogs for not only getting some exercise but also looking for loose coins on the street. Lisa uses the loose coins that she finds on the streets to be sent to a charity called RIP Medical Debt which the money that the charity receives goes to pay off the medical debts of patients. Lisa used the power of social media to promote her work to the charity which is invaluable to assisting patients whose medical insurance does not cover their medical visits to their doctors. Lisa is hoping that others will follow her example of assisting persons in need. I wish her well in her work.

Wish I could do something like that and follow Lisa's example but Philippine coins are 50X lesser in value to the U.S. cent, if there is any consolation I would probably find a lot more. The world needs more people like Lisa

I agree with you on this matter since it is nice to assist persons in need in this time of crisis.

She's one smart cookie to use those coins she finds on the street and putting them to good use.

She is certainly doing a good deed but by the same token many homeless people get something to eat from what they find in the streets! I hear stories about the 2 billionaires spending a fortune to go into space for a few minutes and think of how that money could help so many here BUT it is their money so they can spend it like they want.

That's good. We don't have that kind of charitable institution.

That's a good way to spend the coins. She must've found a lot though.

I agree with you on this matter since we all need help in dealing with debts related to medical expenses due to the pandemic.
