Selling

I have so much to say in this post alone that I am going to break it down.
Buyer Messages
Last night I listed two bundles of yarn that I still need to get rid of. I received a message describing something a buyer would like to make and asking if I had the yarn available. It felt too much like something I've seen in some of my facebook groups. Occasionally you'll find a supposed crafter asking for free yarn to make a project. The way the woman worded her message I wondered if she was gearing up for that.
I simply replied "What I have listed is what I have available." Maybe she came to me because I am selling cheap to get rid of it.
Vera Bradley
I may get a sell today on a wallet. I had a buyer interested and said if I could "hold it" she'd pay later today. I told her "sure', though there's no way for me to hold it in reserve (to my knowledge). She's the first one to message me though, and so it should still be there later today if she does intend to buy it.
Coloring Books
I've sold a few but not all of the bundles. If they do not sell soon I will take them down and take them to my local thrift store. Same with some Scrapbooks I bought for $1 from Goodwill. I think I need to lower the price on the scrapbooks first though.
What in the world are you doing facebook?
So I am keeping watch on my pay out balance on facebook. I am owed $22.25, but it shows that I am owed $9.95. The "bank" on facebook is just a holding spot and should not show a negative balance but it did a few weeks ago. I did not think to screenshot it, but I did screenshot the $9.95 balance and hope I won't have to contact facebook and complain.
That's my selling update.
I'll try Ebay too, but for now sticking with FB marketplace. I told my USPS guy the other day (well technically it's not my post office but it's quieter so I go to that one) "I hope to see you soon."
I'd like to be on a first name basis with them.
That means i'm selling things.

It's money at least, and I don't go too far out of my way to look for things either. Starting slow because I know it will be a lot of work ahead.

I first started just getting rid of my own stuff. It's only recently that I've started looking for things to re-sell. It both is and isn't a lot of work. I'm trying to learn to recognize things I can flip.

@m_audrey6788 Thank You. I am educating myself on what I can buy to re-sell so that I know what to look for.

Not too sure I would trust FB but good luck to you and hope you can sell everything you want to.

@ScribbledAdNauseum Hmmm oh well I guess it depends on how badly you need the money. You seem to like animals, have you thought about dog walking? I mean obviously you would wait until fall when it is cooler if you did that.

@snowy22315 Thought about it. A friend and I looked into it, but going through reputable companies, well that isn't so easy. Posting flyers through the neighborhood might get me somewhere, but who knows? I should go inside the rec center building and see if there's any kind of postings like that on a bulletin board...
Has prolific been working for you lately? I have not received a lot of surveys and am wondering if it's because I haven't been home lately or if they just aren't getting any to hand out.

I'm not sure I can trust them either. Not sure escalating will do any good, but we shall see. I was supposed to get the $22.25 tomorrow but now it says on the 7th... If I don't end up getting what I am owed, well I'll just have to be more vigilant. Facebook marketplace is working for me so far otherwise.

Selling things online is a lot of work. I hope you can sell it all to make it worthwhile. Good luck. Hope the Facebook balance works its way out.

Thank You!
I just thought of a few other things I have that I'd like to try to sell as well. Trying to downsize as much as I can.

I have done better on facebook than I have on Ebay, but yes the way they seemingly are trying to take my money... I do not look forward to a confrontation.
