A strange lottery winning story from Florida

This story from Brandon Florida is kind of odd since Angela Caravella used her free time to buy a scratch off lottery ticket at Publix after her flight from Tampa to Kansas City Missouri had been cancelled earlier in the day.
There is a saying about life getting us into detours. In the case of Angela, she bought some Scratch off tickets to ease the pain of her flight being cancelled for reasons that are not known at this time.
Angela was shocked to learn that one of the Scratch off tickets showed that she won a $1 million dollar prize.
After taxes were taken off of the original $1 million prize, Angela decided to take the lump sum payment of $790,000 dollars.
Angela collected her lottery prize money in the Florida Lottery headquarters in Tallahassee recently.
Angela has not decided how she plans to use her lottery winnings yet as of today.

I agree with you so I know of many stories where a cancelled flight led to a person finding some good fortune that same day next to playing the lottery.
