Whenever anyone visits waters of delta they are saline in nature.

In the Sunderbans in West Bengal, the rivers meet the Bay of Bengal. The entire area is full of delta and mangrove forests. The river waters meet the sea waters, so the river waters also have salt content. That is the reason the crocodiles that are there are salt water crocodiles.
