The day my daughter has been looking forward to for the last 5 years has finally happened -- she and her baby brother will attend the same school this year. It's his first year there, and her last one before moving on to high school.
There were a few tears in my eyes and a clutch in my heart this morning. How could so much time have passed by already? I think I feel less ready for this than they do.
The house is eerily quiet today. I don't think it's been this empty in years.

Me too. I hope it's a full in-person year!

Ah to be young and enjoy going to school. Personally I'm thankful those years are behind me.

The Kindergartener is home already. He seemed to enjoy his day.

Hope both have a good time at school.
Kids do grow up so fast these days.

It is great that they two can go to school together every day!

When my kids climbed onto the school bus, I cried like a baby. My son, I drove him to school for Kindergarten. I still felt like I was abandoning my own child!

I had a few of those "but he's still too little!" moments this morning.

Kids grow up so fast although at the time, it seems it will never end sometimes.
