Attempting to grow some Lotus

Eight months ago when my brother gave me guppies for the first time, they're in two pots with lotus plants on them. Sadly, the other lotus pot died after a few months.
Then weeks ago he gave me half a dozen seeds of them. I tried to grow the first two but mom threw them because she thought the bucket was empty. Recently, I tried with another two, and is slowly growing.
Once they are fully grown into the pot i will also add some guppies on it too.

Yes they are and I hope I can grow them big some day. My brother seemed to have seeds but didn't have time to plant them so i did it.

I never tried growing lotus..lot of maintenance is required...

I just hope that they grow well enough. But may be you need quite a big Pot to grow them?

Yes a bigger one would be a much more useful for Lotus growing.

How did you plant those seeds? Do they start on soil then transferred to water?

Here's how I see it so far
there's supposed to be soil under that water on the pot. Make sure you got small on there so mosquito won't grow larvae over there.

We had a lotus pond and did have a few of them When I spotted a snake we closed the pond
