Is man truly the noblest of any other creature?

I apologized because it was my wild thoughts that always made me wonder if we were the highest in degrees than animals. While we eat anything and are very greedy as humans and our behavior is also very wild than animals. Until finally I wrote this and thought that humans are actually no more noble than other creatures.

I'd say we were the least noble of all.
We know better. Yet we still kill and destroy people and our planet.
For thinking creatures, too little thinking takes place.
We're poor stewards of our planet and her peoples.

Seeing what's happening around the world today, I would say that humans have a long way to go to gain that "noble" title. Our mental faculties should make us better than other creatures, but sadly that is not the reality.

Humans are animals. We just think and communicate differently from other animals. But, at the end of the day we're no better then cats, dogs or any other creature in existance.

We are the highest of all God's creations, made perfect but with free will to choose for ourselves. Unfortunately we make bad choices and it seems that even in the human race it is the fittest who survive. Why is it that those who lead are the most likely ones to be corrupt? Is it power, wealth, love of money?
