Thanks to a not for profit group called Dream Flights is one group that is traveling around the United States contacting World War II veterans who are still alive and making their dream of flying in restored biplanes that were used to train aviators during the second World War.
On Friday, Massachusetts native Arthur Erwin who served with the United States Marines was given a chance to take a flight on a restored biplane at Norwood Airport which is located in Massachusetts.
Erwin who is 101 years of age was very happy as he was surrounded by members of his family to achieve his dream to take a flight 80 years after he joined the U S Marines.
I can imagine the thrill of taking a flight aboard a restored biplane being a huge thrill in the life of the retired Marine Master Sergeant who is one of at least 100,000 World War II veterans who are still alive.
Dream Flights does their work of thanking the members of the U S Military who served our nation by donations, volunteers and community support by offering them a free flight as a way to repay them for their military service. That is wonderful.

@Deepizzaguy I agree with you, and I've seen many World War II movies during the pandemic and I really salute to all soldiers involved.

It is an awesome feeling being able to ride on a restored biplane 80 years.

Wow! 101! What a great opportunity for him. I've flown in an open biplane. It's quite an experience.

You are right even though I have never flown in an open biplane.
