Day 66 Judges 16:28 And Samson called unto the LORD, and said, O Lord GOD, remember me, I pray thee, and strengthen me, I pray thee, only this once, O God, that I may be at once avenged of the Philistines for my two eyes. (KJV) Have you told a secret that got you into trouble? Sampson was a judge in Israel who had women issues. His purpose was to deliver Israel from the Philistines. God gave him great strength for His purpose. Delilah begged Sampson to tell her the source of his strength. He toyed with her and played her game, but in the end, he told her his strength was in the fact he never cut his hair. He went to sleep and woke up with a haircut and no strength. The Philistines put out his eyes as their vengeance for all he did to them. As his hair grew back, he gained strength. Sampson prayed for God to give him one last act of vengeance for the destruction of his eyes, and God granted his request. As Christians, you need to be careful who you associate with in your walk with God. You never know the harm you can do to yourself and others. In Sampson’s case, God’s purpose was for Sampson to align himself with the Philistines so he could destroy them from the inside. God might call you to work with the people who want to do you the most harm. Missionaries often go to countries where the people would rather kill them because of the gospel of Jesus Christ rather than listen to the message of hope and salvation. Yet they go, knowing God will take care of them. They have nothing to lose because even in death; they win. What is your calling? Are you willing to work for people who want to kill you?
