A DEC rescue story from Brewster New York

Officer Crisafulli who is employed by the Department of Environmental Corrections (DEC) is being praised by his superiors after he answered an emergency call from Brewster New York of a red shouldered hawk that was getting beat up in a chicken coop by some chickens last month. After Officer Crisafulli had a chat with the owner of the farm, the officer went inside the chicken coop to rescue the hawk that did not suffer any serious injuries and release the hawk from the danger zone into flight to freedom. The rule of thumb is that the chickens attacked the hawk since the hawk was in the chicken coop area which is trespassing in the world of the chicken. How the hawk entered the chicken coop is not known however.
