Job Update - Automated Phone Interviews

So I still am looking for a new work. During lunch breaks and the first two hours after my shift I go through the job postings in LinkedIn and in other social media platforms looking for an ideal work. I look at two things, if it is work from home and if it is dayshift. I've managed to find a couple and submitted my resume.
Got three automated phone interviews to go through tonight. I expect that these three will be similar. I would have preferred to start earlier but it is a Friday night and our neighbor had their weekly videoke session. They started at 5:00pm and ended at 10:00pm.
Anyway, back to the automated phone interviews, who would have thought that phone interviews would be a thing? I always thought that face to face interviews whether done in person or online would be the best way to gauge the applicant (and the company, if you're like me).
The automated phone interviews cloud based conversational recruitment software that is automated from start to finish. How neat is that? Now, I had to wait this late so I'm sure that the environment would be relatively quiet. That is a prerequisite in the interview.
Anyone here experienced automated phone interviews? How was it?

I see. Do they still do face to face interviews in India when applying for a job?

No, I never did an automated phone interview. That seems kind of strange.

@allen0187 So much of interviews are nuanced conversations and how some one answers questions voice tone, body language etc. A robot can't pick up on that type of thing. I wouldn't want a decision to hire me or not hire me based on a robot.

I guess some people would be more comfortable with this set up.

It will require new skill to converse on phone for some people.
Good luck to you Allen.
Oh no I have not experienced this.

The interviews were fast. Nothing over 20 minutes. Still waiting on results of all three.
