I don't understand what's going on Kabul

I am reading some articles that USA air force airplanes are leaving Kabul almost empty while you see some pictures that thousands of people waiting online in the airport to flee the country. I guess maybe they think they will fly them for free. That is not the case the flight per person any where is about $2000 per person. I hope this situation will be cleared soon and shows what is the reason for that.

This is not the first country that have or had revolution , maybe they should stay there and see maybe things will be better or worse
