Erly asked me about banana peppers recently because I mentioned them in one of my posts. She had never heard of them and didn't think they had them in her country. She asked me to get a photo and share with her so she can be on the lookout. Here's your photo, @Cacay1! We have had a very good return on this one from the garden this year. This is actually a photo from year before last year's banana peppers. I planted them in pots year before last. The banana peppers took first place this year as far as abundance, with tomatoes coming in 2nd. Bell peppers were 3rd and the zuchinni hasn't done anything. I really think all the wetness and rain that came down after planting ate at the roots on that one. Photo Credit: ©2021 Karen Gros, All rights reserved

I can see why they're called banana peppers. I'm sorry the zucchini didn't grow.

It's okay because we don't love zucchini, just like it. I thought I was picking up crook neck squash but someone must have put that one back in the wrong section when I bought the plants.

@kareng Crookneck squash is not zucchini. Me, I would prefer the zucchini.

Those grew well. My green beans were the poor producers here this year. But we had some unusually cool nights a few times

You just don't ever know! I figured we would have zuchinni coming out of our ears just because I picked that up instead of crook neck squash!

@wolfgirl569 I still have two plants and they both have blooms so maybe we will get a few off those 2. Time will tell.

They are! We have had a nice size on them and we both love to eat them. Well, he will eat them just as they are or with something else, but I use them in cooking!

We used to have these in our garden growing up. I like the ones that are not hot.

Yes, that is the only kind of peppers we can handle since both of us have acid reflux. I love to put them in omelets too!
