Have you ever been in a Tornado?

i'm still alive so i havent been. but i admire tornadoes

No I have never been in a tornado. i live in michigan and we have them occasionally but not very often.

lived in Tornado Alley in Canada and saw many many many tornados even got caught up in the big one that hit Edmonton

The only tornadoes I've ever experienced were in my dreams. I've never experienced a real tornado before and I'm torn on whether or not I want to. It seems like a pretty freaky thing, but I often wonder what it's like to actually experience one.

I have been in one and it is no fun. I was working the night shift and sleeping during the day. A storm woke me up and it sounded really bad but I had never been afraid before so I just laid there. My husband knocked on my door and said we needed to get downstairs so I got up and started for the stairs. By the time I got there it was over, 6 trees over 100 years old were down in my yard and one of them was partially in my kitchen. When I walked out on the front porch to see the damage I almost fainted. It is hard to realize the damage they can do. Since that time I no longer ignore the warnings so I guess it taught me something that could some day save my life.

up until april of this year our answer would have been no, never been in one. Now our answer is our town has been in 2 and they are no fun! We're also in missouri, april 2nd and f-3 tornado came through our town and destroyed 60% of it. We took refuge in a church right behind our house. I can remember walking out of the church and seeing mud sling all over everything. Then a tour of the town looked like a war zone. Landmarks, town history and more were gone! Luckily in town no one lost their lives, unfortanetly a little town hit before it got here 2 people lost their lives. On april 25th an f-1 came through and done minor damage to a already devasted town. People in this town are still trying to rebuild and heal from it. Bad part is tornado season is right around the corner again:(

Back in march we had a close call an F-0 tornado formed over our store and missed us but my twin brothers place got destroyed by hail damage..So I guess in a since I have kind of experienced one but not really at the same time..I dream about them alot and they scare the crap out of me...

never been in one persay, but a few monts ago an f-4 did hit here in nixa where i live. it was about 1/2 mile down the road from our house. we took shelter at my mothers. it was scary! its strange how so much devistation can happen in just a few minutes!
