Therapy dogs give comfort to firefighters in California

My hat is off to Marin California resident Heidi Carman who is using her desire to assist the firefighters who are currently battling the wildfires that getting close to Lake Tahoe by having therapy dogs that are trained by handlers most likely under her supervision to provide comfort for the brave men and women who are risking their lives to put out the wildfires in California. Heidi is using Go Fund Me to ask for donations so she can hire handlers to travel with their dogs to the firefighter camps in the danger zone to bring the dogs to the camps to encourage the firefighters to do their best to put out the wildfires in the area. So far the not for profit group called First Responder Therapy Dogs has raised $1,500 dollars which is short of their goal to raise $5,000 dollars for travel expenses for the handlers and their dogs to raise the spirits of the firefighters who are doing their best to stop the wildfires from causing harm to the cities that are being affected by the natural disaster.
