Anyone ever played? How long does a game usually last? Under what circumstances have you heard of a game being held?

Okay, I have to ask because I have never heard of it before. What is cow bingo? Is this a Texas thing?

Cow bingo is interesting to explain and I've heard it is fun to play. Everyone is given regular bingo cards and most folks have binoculars as well. There is usually a picnic and other entertainment around too. There is a field divided into blocks with flags or some other way to label the individual blocks with the selections that would usually be labeled on bingo balls. The cows (various numbers depending on how long the game is supposed to take) are released into a field. The announcer announces from a stage whenever a patty is dropped in a particular square and then you mark that off your card. This is usually a charity event from what I've heard.

Ha! That sounds like a lot of fun. I'll have to see if there are any games in this area. We have quite a few dairy farms here.

I've only heard of it rarely and almost always in a very rural area. Last I heard a 4H club was doing on to raise scholarship money selling the bingo cards for $5 each and had one of the calves as a prize.
