One thing about firefighters is that despite the fact that even if they are off duty, they must be prepared to assist anyone who is in trouble who needs their help during a crisis.
A Fresno fire captain who had finished his shift on Saturday morning went to work to rescue a woman who suffered burns from a fire at a Motel 6 parking lot in an attempt to move her auto during the fire that may have started due to a remodeling project.
The bulk of the fire was located in the parking lot since there was debris from furniture and mattresses.
The woman who was seriously burned in the fire was taken to a local hospital where she is expected to recover from her injuries the fire captain rescued her by getting her out of her auto after she was trying to move her auto from the parking lot.
The name of the fire victim and the fire captain were not released to the public even though Fresno Battalion Fire Chief Sean Johnson called his captain a hero for risking his life to rescue the life of the woman inside of her auto during the fire.
One reason that can be second guessed is that the woman who was injured in the fire parked her auto next to a pile of debris was stacked high inside of a large metal roll-off trash bin.
The cause of the fire is being investigated by the authorities. There was no other serious injuries in the incident that spread to the ground and second floors of the hotel before the firefighters were able to put out the fire quickly.

So many auto fires! I'm glad that the captain was able to rescue the woman.
