Nice Day

Lately it has been either too hot or pouring down raining. This morning I took the trash out and felt a nice breeze therefore I decided to take a walk. I enjoyed the breezy air and the fact it was not too hot. Unlike most people in most places, around here people are polite and actually say hello when you pass by. I remember when I was a kid people were like that. Then all of the sudden it stopped and people were not as polite. I find it the same way in other places.

I agree that people were a lot friendlier in the past. Majority of kids coming up in the last few years were not taught manners, brought up in Church, etc. and think they are all entitled. Not a good thing and we are seeing results now.

I was thinking about that the other day. In the neighborhood where I grew up, everybody knew each other and looked out for each other. Times sure have changed, although I am lucky that I live in a community right now where people are still nice and friendly to each other.

@dfollin I consider myself extremely lucky to live in such a wonderful neighborhood. And I love it. This is the way our communities are supposed to be, where neighbors are friendly and help each other out.

I agree with you. Maybe because people nowadays are more stressed and depressed because of pandemic

The world has changed. Everyone wants to see the worst in each other. It's rare you'll find someone willing to be polite.

People seem to keep to themselves more these days. It's nice to run across someone who is outgoing and pleasant.
