today's work culls

Here are some things that were saved from the landfill today! I found 2 low-sugar Greek-style yogurts and a package of Neufchatel cheese in the culls fridge and a butter-crust cherry pie in the other culls area, plus one of the deli employees gave me a 1/2 lb. package of smoked turkey breast lunch meat that had just been pulled off of the shelf. The turkey will go in lunchbox sandwiches tomorrow, and the yogurts will either be eaten for breakfast or also go in lunchboxes. I got a package of bagels in Tuesday's Imperfect order, so finding that Neufchatel cheese was timely! I'll probably have that for my own breakfast in the morning, and I'm sure someone will get into the cherry pie after dinner tonight. The turkey was originally selling for $7.76, the Neufchatel is on sale this week for $3, the pie sells for $24(!!!), and I think those yogurts are about $1 each. Altogether, these freebies would have sold for over $36! Have you been finding creative ways to save money lately?

I bought cheese/bologona and ham to make "homemade lunchables". Although they got premade lunchables for tomorrow.

@spiderdust I saw some of those atTarget the other day and I wanted to get them, but they were too expensive for me to be okay with it. So I just make them myself with the purple divided tupperware things I showed you

Of course, I couldn't afford to buy all of these things at regular prices at my store. I think it's rather telling that most of the employees don't shop there regularly.

That particular cherry pie sells for $24. *nods* Or maybe it's $20. Like I've mentioned, I work at a fancy expensive grocery store! This is also why I only get them when they're free.
