Lord Ganesh Festival starts from Today!! Big Festival of India!!!

Hi guys, Hope you all are doing good. I am doing good too. As there are different people across the globe on this platform. Many of you might not be aware of Lord Ganesh and his significance. Today is Ganesh Chaturthi. It's a big festival for people of India. It's celebrated for 10 days every year. Lord Ganesh was the younger son of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. He is worshipped as is the belief of him removing all obstacles from our lives. Different colourful pandals i.e. stage is set with beautiful decorations. The Ganesh Idol i.e. statue is placed on stage. Prayers are done every morning and in evening. Different sweets, fruits and Dryfruits are offered to Lord Ganesh daily. He is very fond of Ladoos and Modaks, the Indian sweets which are made especially for him. The devotees coming for prayers are given as a "prasad" or offering from him. Every year, this festival is celebrated on a large scale in different areas of different cities across India. In Mumbai, Maharashtra, it's a very important festival. The statues of 7 feet and above are made with different themes since many years. However, this year, the Government has restricted the height of idol to 4 feet and to be celebrated for 4 days due to Pandemic. I just thought to share it with you. Have a good day. Take care!!!
